SpieGraph SpieGraph is a new graphing method that combines the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement into a single graphic image. This allows users of financial statements to visually scan financial statements for patterns and trends that are inherent in the underlying columns and rows of information. It also enables comparisons of year-to-year changes as well as differences between various companies.3D Financial Statements; Visualizing Information; SpieGraph; Financial Statements; Financial Graphs; Pie Charts This patented method of displaying data is a graph that would be included as an added feature in a larger program. Its present use is to combine the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement into a single graphic form, but it is open to other uses as well. SpieGraph benefits from the introduction of XBRL that is now coming online in the financial community. XBRL is a great way to bring data into SpieGraph. And SpieGraph is a great application for the use of XBRL formatted financial statements. The included CD contains a short demonstration of how the graphic is structured and how it looks on the screen. There are more features in the current SpieGraph program that are not shown in this demo. These programmed features include labels and dollar values; wire frame and translucent views; the ability to click over the graph and get more information as well as hide that segment in order to view the underlying segments. This SpieGraph program is designed as a proof of concept. The copyrighted code is available along with the patent rights with the expectation that there will be additional programming of features to customize and enhance the use of the graph. I am available to work with developers. If you would like to use this exciting graph in your program or would like more information please feel free to contact me.
